MP6 O1
I chose these cards because they are 3 of the most common cards in my deck, or at least 3 of the most commonly used cards in my deck. They each have some special properties that I like. Trample on the Feral Ridgewolf allows me to do extra damage to my opponent if my wolf is stronger than his creature. The Maw of Hell is an incredibly powerful card that I combo with another to deal damage to a target creature, take out a land, and then deal damage to my opponent. Brimstone Volley is also powerful because of its second ability of Morbid, where it deals more damage if a creature dies during the turn.

Borderlands 2
Research and Development
Borderlands came from an original game called "The Border Lands" from the 1980s. The concept was built around the idea of being a "treasure hunter" looking for a magic treasure on a far off world. The storyline is also rumored to have a small influence from the story of WWII. Personally I can't see that but some people can. Its an incredibly ficticious story set in a beautiful albeit deadly world.
Gathering Materials
To create the art there was so much time invested in concept sketching and artwork. The developers also travelled to deserts and jungles to get a feel for the lighting and mood of those places so they could translate that into each level. They also studied many sci-fi books based around treasure hunters and bandits to learn about how they function but to also create the very unique characters of the game.
Game Concept
Borderlands takes you inside one of the 4 Vault Hunters that travels around this planet, Pandora, to search for the lost treasure of the Vault. In this game the idea was to build on the idea that the Vault was already opened and someone is now in control of it, and that it holds more power than originally thought. Also, for this game, the developers travelled out to gun manufacturers to gain insight about how various weapons work so they could translate that into one of the bazillions of guns that can be found throughout the game.

Game that uses cutscenes
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
DXHR uses cutscenes to separate major landmarks and milestones in the game. The cutscenes normally introduce you to a new character or important moment. These cutscenes are sometimes pre-rendered (noticeably more realistic and clean) and sometimes they use the game-quality models. It always depends on the situation in the game.

MP10 O1
So, you want to play a maze game? Well, this game involves some thinking as well as some memorization. Compared to other maze games, this one is much more involved.
You control Ariadne, a small child that is stuck in her own nightmare inside a mansion. In this nightmare your character Ariadne has telekinetic powers. There are some hints around the level that hint for the character to use a telekinetic ability. Objects in the maze move around and walls replace themselves with different angled walls so this becomes a difficult game with patterns.
We are making this game because it is a much more challenging version of your ordinary maze. By giving our character telekinetic abilities she is able to solve puzzles inside the maze. The puzzles normally lead to her unlocking a memory that allows her to find the correct path. There are no bosses, just the level working against you. You have to make the right choices because a wrong choice can move you 20 steps backward. There is no easy way to find the right path unless you make proper decisions. You only make proper decisions if you follow the guidance of your telekinetic powers.
You start out in the bedroom and you have to solve how to get out of the bed. Then after you find out how to get out of your bed you have to fix the door. The door is essentially broken into 20 pieces that create an old chinese slider puzzle. Once you solve the door puzzle you have now entered the maze itself. In the maze you are challenged with roadblocks and closed hallways. At many of these, however, there are personal items left at the scene that can trigger telekinetic moments. In these moments if you follow the right dialogue for the story you unlock the proper memory to figure out how to get past the roadblock. If you make a wrong choice in the dialogue then you might pass the roadblock but something ahead of you changed for the worst and you have basically set yourself back a few roadblocks. Once you escape the mansion you come into a cornfield maze where you must find your way through the ridiculousness of that maze and make it to the center of the cornfield. That is where the dream ends.
Similar games include Star Wars - Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (the use of telekinetic powers), Lego Star Wars saga (same reason and also mini puzzles), and Left 4 Dead (the way you can really screw up if you go the wrong way).

MP7 O1/2
This is Willard
He is a Kung Fu Swine, who fights crime with his powerful pork knuckles of fury.
He is 3 years old, approximately 3ft tall, and 150lbs (he is a pig)
Yes, he has a coiled tail. He can jump to great heights by coiling his tail and jumping off of it. Similar to Diddy Kong's special ability in DK64. As you level him up, his jumping ability allows him to jump higher and higher.
He has telekinetic abilities that help him to focus and discover clues and see into people's minds.
Willard was born on a farm in China and was being raised for slaughter. Until one day he happened to eat a precious stone that was in his food. It gave him anthropomorphic abilities. He stood up and began to speak, but he can still understand animals so he frequently interacts with animals on his journeys and quests.
He studied Kung Fu at a Shaolin Monastery and took an oath to defend against evil.
He has a nemesis, the great Cow-Lon, a cow that has swallowed the other half of the mythical stone, the yang side of the stone. He uses great sorcery to combat Willard and his forces.

For this I'm going to choose Pokemon. Pokemon I think is the best example of how an RPS game can develop into a graphical solution. In Pokemon your goal is to collect all of the monsters that roam around the game world and use them to battle against other trainers and their Pokemon. You level them up and teach them moves and almost all of them evolve after a certain level of experience. Some Pokemon only evolve when you give them a certain item. You can also give items to the Pokemon that will power up their attacks. In the most basic Pokemon game there were only 15 elements: Bug, Dragon, Ice, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Grass, Ghost, Ground, Electric, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Water. Pokemon I think is the best example of how an RPS game can Each type has a strength against 1 or more types and also a weakness against certain types, i.e, Water is good against Fire, Rock, and Ground but weak against Electric and Grass. Every type has a mechanic for this. It however differs from traditional RPS because it uses a chance system where there is essentially a dice roll that determines the strength of moves and if they can deal critical hits. So in some very extreme cases, the very strongest of the Water moves can beat a Grass Pokemon, depending on the modifier roll.

How
to Play
–
1. Stand face to face with
someone who has agreed to play against you
2. Decide how many rounds
you would like to play, i.e. best 2 out of 3, best 3 out of 5
3. Put your left hand out in
front of your body (not extended)
4. Form your right hand into
a fist
5. Now take your right hand
and hit the bottom of your fist into your left palm and say “rock”
6. Raise your hand off your
palm, about shoulder height
7. Repeat step 4 but this
time say “paper”
8. Repeat step 5
9. Repeat step 4 but this time
say “scissors”
10.Repeat step 5
11.Repeat step 4 but this time say “shoot” and make 1 of 3 different hand gestures
-
gesture 1 is the “rock” which is just putting out a fist
-
gesture 2 is the “paper” which is just putting your hand
out and extending your fingers
-
gesture 3 is the “scissors” where you perform a rock,
thumb up to the ceiling, and extend your index finger and middle finger and
separate them to make a “v”
12.Depending on the gestures you determine a winner
-
a
“rock” gesture beats a “scissors” gesture
-
a
“scissors” gesture beats a “paper” gesture
-
a
“paper” gesture beats a “rock” gesture
13.
In
the event of a tie (“rock” vs “rock,” “paper” vs “paper,” “scissors” vs “scissors”) you repeat steps 3-11 over again until you have a
winner.

Ring-o-livio (also spelled Ring-o-levio)
My camp's version of manhunt where you break up into teams of
at least 6 and there is one team of seekers and on team of hiders. The hiders get 3 minutes to hide every round
(teams switch inbetween each round). The
seekers are in a bunk or a closed building so that they can’t see where the
hiders are going. Each player has a set
of flags around their waist, like the flags you use for flag football, and one
set is yellow and the other is red (doesn’t matter which team wears what
color). After 2 minutes the seekers come
out and try to find the hiders. To catch
them they must chase them and pull off their flag belt. Stiff arming and tackling is allowed (older
players) but no punching, kicking, etc.
After being captured they go to a jail, as pre-determined by the
teams. You must always be touching the
jail. After more than one person is in
jail you can form a human chain to try and tear off a seeker’s belt. If that happens then everyone in jail is
free. At the end of the round, whichever
team had the most people in jail wins the round. Normally best of 3 rounds wins.

I love playing mahjong. Its one of my favorite historical games. The basic objective, at least in the single player version, is to clear the table of all tiles. You do this by selecting tiles that match, 2 at a time. There are rules to how you select tiles. You can only select tiles that arent covered and have 3 open sides. It is a very popular gambling game. I still play it every once in awhile online.
